A high-energy summer camp designed for water lovers! Campers will build confidence and skills through kayaking, lifeguard basics, water polo, diving, splash pad experience and a variety of exciting water games. This camp promotes teamwork, leadership, and water safety—all while having a splash-tastic time.

*Swimmers must successfully pass the deep end test with continuous one length of the pool on their back, 30-second treading water, and one length swimming on their front.

The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program from ASHI gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know to be successful babysitting.

Required for completion: A written evaluation and active participation in the course activities.

Skills Evaluation: Students must perform required skills competently without Assistance.

Successful completion is based on achievement of the core learning objectives rather than a
prescribed instruction time. CPR+AED and Basic First Aid are introduced during the course no
certification given. CPR mask and babysitting book included. Bring a snack for each day class.

Bicycle Basics Camp at the YMCA helps young riders gain confidence on two wheels! Campers will learn how to ride without training wheels, practice balance and steering, and build skills at their own pace in a fun, supportive environment. Through games and hands-on activities, children will also learn basic bike and road safety, including helmet use, stopping, turning, and awareness of others.

This camp focuses on safety, encouragement, and fun—helping kids become confident, responsible riders while enjoying an active YMCA experience!

Join us for a fun and energetic 4 day cheerleading cclinic designed for kids ages 6-9! Participants will enjoy 2 hours each day learing basic cheer motions, simple jumps, beginner stunts, and easy dane routines in a positive, supportive envrionment.  This clinic focuses on confidence, teamwork, and having fun-no prior cheer experience needed!  The week wraps up with a short performance to show off new skills.

Each day offers a mix of creativity, friendship, and fun as campers explore different materials and techniques while building confidence in their artistic abilities. The course is designed to build a foundation of knowledge, attitudes, and skills for future
lifeguards. The course focuses on building communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills, as
well as providing basic knowledge and skills required to participate in the course when they are 15
years of age or older. Upon successfully completion of the course the participant will receive Yasa
certification (YMCA Safety Assistant), Cpr/AED, First Aid certification card, whistle and a Cpr mask.
Pre-requisite for participants to swim 100 yards, tread water for 2 minutes, and swim underwater 10 feet.  Bring lunch each day.

Campers will learn the pure basics of cooking.  this includes being safe in the kitchen, learning basic knife skills, techniques like sauteing, sifting, baking, and boiling.  Learn to become more independent in the kitchen!

Get ready to make some noise! In Music Makers Camp, kids will explore the joy of music through hands-on fun. Campers will sing silly songs, play a variety of kid-friendly instruments, move and groove with music games, and even create their own instruments to take home. This playful camp builds creativity, listening skills, coordination, and confidence—all while having a blast. No music experience needed… just bring your energy and imagination!

Want to learn about howto take great pictures?  Why not try the Photography Camp.  Don’t own a camera?  No Problem!  Bring your cell phone with you and learn how to use the settings, lighting and filters to take even better pictures.  Campers will take nature pictures, pictures in town and around the Y.  Campers will also make their own portfolios of pictures and have them displayed.

Get ready to serve, rally and have fun!  This 4 day Pickleball Camp introduces kids ages 8 – 12 to one of the fastest-growing sports in a fun, supportive environment.  Campers will learn the basics of pickleball including rules, scoring serving, and court positioning through skill-building drills, games, adn friendly match play.  Each 2 hour session fouces on developing coordination teamwork, and sportsmanship while keeping kids active and engaged.  No prior prickleball experience is required- just come ready to move. learn, and have fun.
