Come learn about the world of Ancient Egypt such as the pyramids, the games kids played and what the ancients ate.  Then travel over to the roman empire and learn about gladiators, what kds played and the food they ate.  The campers will do stem and art projects.

Get your passports ready for this epic adventure!  Do you have a little explorer that is curious about different cultures.  authentic food, language and traditions?  Hop on a flight and fly your little explorer to Travel Camp!  Each day we will travel to many different countries to eat ethnic foods, make crafts,  play games and speak to friends from around the world!

The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program from ASHI gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know to be successful babysitting.

Required for completion: A written evaluation and active participation in the course activities.

Skills Evaluation: Students must perform required skills competently without Assistance.

Successful completion is based on achievement of the core learning objectives rather than a
prescribed instruction time. CPR+AED and Basic First Aid are introduced during the course no
certification given. CPR mask and babysitting book included. Bring a snack for each day class.
*10 year olds no certification given

What is a better way to serve the community than to attend the YMCA Community Reach Camp?  This camp aims to provide different volunteer opportunities for your child to experience, and learn how to act on our YMCA character value of  “RESPONSIBILITY.”  Each week campers will work with multiple community organizations to help with locations that will range from food banks, park clean-up, humane society help, a nursing home and more!  the camp will meet at the Wapakoneta Family YMCA and we will transport the campers to the locations.

Come to camp and learn how to make your own escape room.  Each day you will solve an escape room.  the you will start planning and making your won escape room.  The campers will also go behind the scenes at a local escape room to see how they plan their escape rooms.

The course is designed to build a foundation of knowledge, attitudes, and skills for future
lifeguards. The course focuses on building communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills, as
well as providing basic knowledge and skills required to participate in the course when they are 15
years of age or older. Upon successfully completion of the course the participant will receive Yasa
certification (YMCA Safety Assistant), Cpr/AED, First Aid certification card, whistle and a Cpr mask.
Pre-requisite for participants to swim 100 yards, tread water for 2 minutes, and swim underwater 10 feet.  Bring lunch each day.

Campers will learn the pure basics of cooking.  this includes being safe in the kitchen, learning basic knife skills, techniques like sauteing, sifting, baking, and boiling.  Learn to become more independent in the kitchen!

Want to learn about howto take great pictures?  Why not try the Photography Camp.  Don’t own a camera?  No Problem!  Bring your cell phone with you and learn how to use the settings, lighting and filters to take even better pictures.  Campers will take nature pictures, pictures in town and around the Y.  Campers will also make their own portfolios of pictures and have them displayed.

Not sure what sports you want to do a whole season?  Does your child want to try a variety of sports?  Why not try a variety of sports this summer at Sports of All Sorts Camp?  Your camper will try soccer, volleyball, archery, golf, floor hockey, pickleball and more.  Each day the camers will try different sports with different drills and activities.

Campers will learn the basic skills of survival such as knot tying, building a fire, making a shelter, and cooking their own food over a campfire while also learning other techinques like foraging.  Along with fun activities such as making a camp, campers will also have the chance to make crafts and play games.

Come learn how to take your culinary skills to the next level.  With techniques like sauteing, flambeing, frying, and baking you can take your kitchen experience higher.  Campers will learn how to use kitchen equipment safety, learn knife cuts and how to create your own dish!
