Homeschool Gym & Swim
Welcome to the Homeschool Gym & Swim program at Wapakoneta Family YMCA, where homeschooling families can find a comprehensive physical education and socialization solution for their children. This program, designed with homeschoolers ages 5-15 in mind, takes place every Tuesday from 10 AM to 12:00 PM, offering an enriching and engaging experience for participants.
Program Highlights:
⛹🏻 Physical Fitness and Fun Activities: Our program is committed to promoting physical fitness while ensuring participants have a blast. Children will engage in a diverse range of physical activities, including group games, sports, and exercises.
🏊🏼♀️ Swimming Sessions: In addition to gym-based activities, participants will have the chance to dive into our YMCA’s pool. Swimming is not only an exciting activity but also an essential life skill. Certified lifeguards will be on hand to ensure the safety of all swimmers.
👥 Social Interaction and Friendships: Our program provides a wonderful opportunity for homeschooled children to interact with their peers. Socialization is an important aspect of personal development, and we encourage the building of friendships in a supportive environment.

Little Scientist
Little Scientists Academy (Ages 3–5)
Spark your child’s curiosity through hands-on STEM fun! In this exciting 7-week program, young scientists will explore colors, bubbles, weather, magnets, nature, and more through age-appropriate experiments, stories, movement, and creative activities. Each 30-minute session encourages children to ask questions, make discoveries, and build confidence while having fun. Every week brings a new scientific adventure, and families will receive simple take-home activities to continue the learning together.

Messy Art (Ages 5–7)
Get ready to splatter, squish, and create! Messy Art invites kids to explore their creativity using paint, glue, clay, and other fun materials through hands-on art projects. This class focuses on process over perfection, encouraging imagination, sensory play, and self-expression in a fun, supportive environment—mess and allwhile creating their very own masterpiece.!
